Join Angie McMonigal and me in the streets of Los Angeles for an architecture photography workshop on February 4-5, 2017.
If you have always wanted to shoot the amazing architecture of Los Angeles, or if you just want to escape the winter, this workshop is for you! You’ll spend two days shooting some of the best architecture in the world and learning how to capture stunning architectural abstracts and cityscapes.
We have a great weekend planned for you:
Saturday morning begins with a presentation highlighting our vision for architecture photography so you can begin to see your subjects in a new way. We’ll share our process, from choosing locations to our approach once on location, how to best utilize compositional tools for architectural subjects, working in series and how to stay inspired.
We’ll then head out to photograph architecture around Downtown Los Angeles for the rest of the weekend. From details of architectural masterpieces to stunning city views, warm morning light to blue hour, you’ll get to shoot it all. We’ll be there sharing what and how we’re shooting to guide you through each location so you can capture your own beautiful images.
Date/Time: February 4, 9am-6pm, February 5, 8am-6pm
Early-bird Rate: $449 (expires December 15, 2016)
Here are some of the locations that we will be shooting during the workshop:
- The Broad
- The Walt Disney Concert Hall

There will a lot more to shoot, more info will be sent to the attendees closer to the workshop.
A couple of weeks after the workshop, we’ll meet up for a video call so you can each share some of your favorite images created during our time together. We’ll take that opportunity to give some feedback on your images and offer post-processing tips.
The workshop will run from 9am to 6pm on Saturday, February 4 and from 8am to 6pm on Sunday, February 5.
We will be sending additional information and a detailed schedule to attendees closer to the workshop.
*Saturday morning’s presentation will take place at this hotel.
If you’re in town on Friday evening (February 3), we’d love it if you could join us for drinks at The Rooftop at The Standard. It’ll be a great opportunity to get to know each other and the view is beautiful….be sure to bring your camera, just in case 😉
We hope you’ll join us!
