Abstract Architecture at the Getty Center in Los Angeles

When I visited Los Angeles, one of the locations I absolutely wanted to photograph was The Getty Center. Designed by Richard Meier, the center sits atop a hill in the Brentwood neighborhood, with sweeping views of the city. The complex has several buildings, including the Getty Museum, and gardens. It’s a beautiful place to spend an afternoon and the architecture is gorgeous.

The architecture has a Mediterranean feel to it, with contrasting metal and stone cladding.

The location of the museum offers some great views of Century City and the mountains.

The main entrance has a beautiful atrium:

The gardens are beautiful. Here’s the edge between the gardens and the built area:

Everything about the Getty Center is amazing. The architecture, the gardens, the location… I will definitely go back to that place on my next trip to Los Angeles.
