In March, I read Gary Vaynerchuck’s latest book, #AskGaryVee, and I loved it. It might be the best book I’ve ever read about business and entrepreneurship.
If you don’t know Gary Vaynerchuck, you NEED to check him out. In fact, go to his YouTube Channel right now. I don’t even care if you come back because it’s probably the best thing you’ll do all day (heck, all week) for your business.
Gary is an amazing entrepreneur and social media master. He became famous with his Wine Library TV show on YouTube. He now hosts a weekly show called #AskGaryVee, on which he answers questions about business, social media, and entrepreneurship. I’ve been watching his show for several months and I never miss an episode.
About the #AskGaryVee book
The #AskGaryVee book is a compilation of questions he answered during the 150+ episodes of the show. He organized them into chapters and added content. I’ve watched a lot of episodes and the book still felt like something new and original.
The result is what I would call the entrepreneurship bible. Gary touches on so many subjects: from social media to hustle, to gratitude, to leadership, and much more. He doesn’t shy away from the tough questions and gives straight answers. He may sometimes seem blunt to some, but he means well!
His insights into his daily life and hustle are priceless. He’s not giving lessons or explaining theories. Gary is executing every day and he shares his invaluable experience.
Why should photographers read the #AskGaryVee book
Because it will make your business 10 times better. Period. It will give you ideas about all the aspects of business. I read it in one week and I’ve already got ideas about where to push my business, how to change my social media strategy and ways to be more efficient.
If you have a photography business or are thinking about it, this book is a solid investment. You’ll pick up strategies and ideas that will change your business.
And even if you’re not making a living as a photographer, this book has tons of great content to help you build your online presence and brand yourself.
I love everything about this book, but I particularly recommend the chapters about Clouds and Dirt, Hustle, Excuses, Gratitude, and Self-Awareness. And there are many more interesting chapters! One thing I know for sure: I will go back to this book often to read a chapter here and there.
If you decide to read it, let me know what you think in the comments!
